Few people know, but intestine diseases are intertwined with allergies, arthritis, headaches, skin problems, tumors – and several other health problems that affects people in our industrialized civilization may be directly related to bowel malfunction ..
The intestine is the third organ that the food eaten at meals should go through on its journey within us. It first goes through the mouth, where they must be well chewed and mixed with saliva.
Then through the stomach where much of the digestion takes place. And finally through this long tube where digestion is complete – the intestine.
The intestine absorbs the nutrients, and what remains of the faecal cake is made semi-solid so that it can be eliminated. As a consequence of this process, the food and beverages that we consume in the main meals transits in the intestine at least three times a day.
In the first half of the 20th century, Arbuthnot Lane, the King of England’s private surgeon, got specialized in the amputation of sections containing Intestine Diseases and sewing the leftover tips to make the organ regain its ability to function.
He observed a curious phenomenon: a few months after undergoing colon surgery, some patients were cured of diseases that apparently had no connection with the operated organ.
Among them, a young man healed of a severe form of arthritis and a woman was completely cured of the goiter that made her suffer.
These and other experiences convinced Lane that intestinal intoxication – especially in the colon – could contribute to the onset of diseases in other parts of the body that appeared to be unrelated to the intestines.
Even nowadays, regular medicine has not discovered the cause of many diseases that afflict humanity, including cancer, tumors, autoimmune diseases, various skin problems (psoriasis, etc.), environmental and food allergies, and intolerances. which are increasing more and more.

How come the causes of these diseases have not yet been discovered?
According to physician and writer Bernard Jensen, in examining cases of organic intoxication, medicine takes into account only poisons that may come from the external environment (fungi, chemicals, gases, etc.) and does not evaluate those that can be created in the intestine and spread out to the rest of the body, damaging the good health of other areas.
This is surprisingly astonishing.
In a not too distant past, bowel cleansing was considered very important to prevent diseases, and the monthly purgative, as well as the periodic enemas that previous generations are sure to remember, was a clear sign of this.
The intestine, with its remarkable area (about 300 square meters of surface!), represents one of the most important “organs” of the body.
It performs important digestive functions, promotes absorption of nutrients and collaborates with the kidneys, skin and lungs in the elimination of debris.
The last parts of the intestine – the colon (or large intestine) and rectum – are certainly the most important ones.
In these areas, thanks to enzymes and bacterial flora, digestion is completed and fundamental substances are absorbed: water, amino acids (constituents of proteins) and many of the medicinal products that we use.
What happens when the colon walls are not healthy?
Something very dangerous : the mucosa becomes inflamed and loses its impermeability.
In other words, it allows toxic substances, some parasites and fragments of undigested food to pass through and enter into organic liquids (blood and lymph).
Such harmful substances, spreading throughout the entire body, can generate the most diverse symptoms.
The list includes migraines and chronic hemicranias, allergies, acnes, psoriasis and other skin diseases, prostate disorders, diverticulitis, severe constipation, intestinal prolapses, arthritis, rheumatism, heart problems, asthma, respiratory problems, breast lumps, loss of vitality, fatigue, depression, lack of concentration, aggression, panic attacks, infection, inflammation, polyarthritis, hair problems, intestinal parasites that produce bruxism (night teeth grinding) and many other disorders.

Let us examine some of the conditions responsible for making the intestine the starting point for so many dysfunctions and diseases that, at first, no one would associate with the organ.
Basically, even in a healthy person it is possible to find one or more of the following anomalies:
- Fecal inlays
- Intestinal dysbiosis
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Intestinal hyperperfusion syndrome
- Gluten and Celiac disease
Check out the list of major Intestine diseases:
There are many levels of severity and differentiated symptoms regarding the Intestine Diseases, find out here the origin, of the main gastrointestinal pathologies.
“Half the people who declare themselves to be in good health continuously carry within themselves, several kilos of substances that have never been eliminated, since childhood” says professor and physician Arnold Ehret.
“For these people, one good evacuation a day has no meaning.”
When we think of wheat flour, we feel gratitude, imagining that it has killed the hunger of humanity since the dawn of history.
It must be made clear, however, that the flour used in former times was whole, and the housewives who tried to make bread dough know very well how difficult it is to work without mixing it with normal white flour.
But the white flour, unfortunately, presents a dangerous, serious and little known inconvenience: it glues!
This is easy to check by cooking on low heat, white flour and water: a glue is created so powerful that it is still used to bind old books.
Over the years, food that contains white flour leaves a layer on the walls of the intestine, especially on the final part of them, the large intestine or colon.
This glue can become so thick that in the central space of the intestine (the so-called lumen) it gets difficult for an object as thin as a pencil to pass through.
One of the biggest causes of intestinal problems, especially those of the colon, is this glue that, over the years, becomes a real inlay. As in Dr. Jensen’s words: as hard as the tires of a car!
Of course, these incrustations are not the only responsible.
To them must be added sedentary life, environmental pollution, the use of unnatural medicines, an unbalanced diet, too rich in sugar, refined food and chemical additives and, at the same time, poor of important elements like fibers, vitamins and mineral salts.
To all of this we must add stress, which causes a change in the intestinal walls, causing excessive or insufficient contractions.
This condition not only causes a buildup of toxins and an increase in fecal fouling described above, but can also influence the bacterial flora, making slowing down the biological processes of the intestine and making it less effective.
The colon holds a remarkable intestinal flora, susceptible to such modifications that may be very dangerous to health.
When the flora is well balanced and useful to the body, occurs a condition called eubiosis.
The opposite to eubiosis happens when this flora is unbalanced (a condition, unfortunately, very widespread nowadays), it is called dysbiosis, and its consequences can be harmful.
Unintelligent eating (too much sugar and proteins, wrong food combinations, little or no chewing), rash meals, and the use of laxatives, antacids, and antibiotics create a digested product rich in undigested protein and other anomalous elements that predispose the development of several toxic substances and bacteria of putrefaction, both very harmful.
All of this factors, unfortunately, contribute to the strong statistical increase of serious colon disorders such as diverticulitis, polyps, ulcerative colitis and tumors.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Irritable bowel syndrome is a condition that causes the intestine to “squeeze” the food ingested in an excessively weak or strong way, causing the transit of that food to be too slow or faster than normal.
Sometimes IBS is triggered by anxiety or stress.
However, many other times, tests that determine intestinal permeability and motility reveal the presence of fungi, parasites and / or pathogenic bacteria.
The microbes most commonly found in such situations are Blastocystis hominis and the various species of Candida.
If we allow SII to proceed in time without proper treatment, it can rise to very serious disorders such as candida infection, multiple chemical sensitivity, chronic fatigue syndrome, many autoimmune diseases and even cancer.
It is worth noting that medical treatments rarely manage to eliminate IBS.
For their effective treatment, natural remedies are more suitable. They should be directed to the removal of the causes, to the improvement of gastrointestinal functions and to the healing of the intestinal mucosa.
Intestinal Hyperpermeability Syndrome
Several health problems arise because of bowel malfunction, often caused by the precarious state of its walls, which have lost the necessary impermeability.
This condition is called “loss of impermeability of the intestinal mucosa”.
There are strong suspicions that this loss is the root cause of several pathologies, including celiac disease, candida infection, Crohn’s disease, giardia infestation, atopic eczema, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, food allergies, food intolerances, asthma, headaches and arthritis.
The pathology occurs when, in the walls of the intestine, the spaces between the cells expand to the point of allowing the passage and subsequent entry of toxic substances into the bloodstream.
This anomalous condition allows fats and wastes that could not be absorbed (bacteria, fungi, parasites with their toxins, undigested proteins) to “drip out” into the bloodstream.
Considering the large surface area of the intestinal mucosa and its great absorption capacity, it is possible to understand how important it is to remain perfectly impermeable, in order to avoid that the toxic substances can be released into the external fluids (blood and lymph) and distributed in the body creating multiple dysfunctions and diseases.
From this distribution of poisons derives a series of disorders of a general character that at first sight seem to have no relation to the intestine: headaches, nervousness, anxiety, depression, bad breath, rhinitis, acne, dermatitis, eczema, chronic fatigue , aging of the skin, joint pains, arthrosis, etc.
This invasion also causes a strong drop in the organic defenses, since in the intestine there are between 100 and 200 “Peyer’s plaques” (clusters of lymph nodes located mainly in the mucosa of the ileum, which have the same activity of the tonsils: produce substances that protect the mucosa against the action of microbes), essential for the maintenance of our immunological potential.
Gluten and Celiac Disease
Gluten is a protein that, unfortunately, is more and more present in our diet.
Contrary to the common belief that it associates it mainly with bread and pasta, gluten also exists in several other cereals (wheat, barley, rye, sorghum) and, of course, in all its derivatives.
Sometimes gluten is used to make dense creams and puddings, cooked ham and hot dogs like salami, bologna, sausage and even some medicines.
Over the years, agriculture experts have selected cereals with increasing gluten content.
From the farro with very little gluten (that almost nobody knows today), like the one used in Europe in the time of the ancient Romans, came the wheat, that contains much gluten.
The great current use of gluten comes from the fact that this substance makes the pasta softer and more elastic – a great advantage in baking, that is why the bread is soft and does not crumble when cut into slices.
Rice, corn, quinoa and buckwheat do not contain gluten.
Oats also do not, but as it is processed in machines that also process cereals with gluten, it ends up “contaminating”.
But there are already, on the market, brands of gluten-free oats.
Gluten allergies are relatively common, in which the immune response is similar to that in other food-borne allergic diseases, with the onset of various symptoms.
Sometimes these allergies can lead to an extremely serious autoimmune disease, celiac disease.
In this pathology, the immune system creates antibodies against gluten and can destroy intestinal villi and / or cause cachexia (extreme thinness), and even lead to death.
What can we do?
Laxatives – unfortunately widely used nowadays – are only a momentary benefit. In the long run, they tend to damage the intestinal mucosa.
To cleanse the bowel radically, you can do a few sessions (a maximum of four or five) of intestinal lavages (hydrocolonotherapy) and other even more complete treatments.
To prevent diseases in the intestine keep it clean, it is appropriate to resume the old habit of redoing regular intestinal detoxification.
One of the first signs that our gut is loaded with impurities is the appearance of blackheads, pimples, boils and other inflammations on the skin.
If we try to eliminate these inflammations with the use of ointments, we run the risk of blocking this “discharge” and causing the body to accumulate the impurities in some other organ even more important than the skin.
This creates the assumptions for much more serious problems.
Diet to Prevent and Cure Intestine Diseases
To prevent intestine diseases, a correct and healthy diet is fundamental to correct intestinal pathologies and keep this organ in balance. Check out the diet that helps in the recovery of the intestinal flora.
An apple, some figs or prunes, soaked in a little water the night before.
Drink plenty of natural water, kefir, yogurt and curds.
Avoid foods in which there is a mixture of flour and sugar, as it acidifies the body.
Eat gluten-free cereal, like rice or quinoa; vegetables and raw vegetables at will; alternate chicken or fish.
Rice or quinoa, always with raw vegetables; or, instead of cereal, sweet potato or yam.
Alternate: chicken, fish, eggs, goat’s cheese, yogurt or curds.
Best to avoid red meat.
Attention to soy-based foods, as they are almost always part of genetically modified (transgenic) organisms.
Best when you are ripe and season, but always away from main meals.
The sun (vitamin D) can also be considered a form of food beneficial to the cells of the intestine.
What to Avoid:
Some diets may have the opposite effect, so know how to circumvent this effect and what to avoid during this process.
- Sweets, coffee with milk, cow’s milk and derivatives.
- Red meat
- Sodas, preserved fruit juices.
- White bread and even the whole
